Neocutis LUMIÈRE Bio-Restorative Eye Cream

Neocutis LUMIÈRE Bio-Restorative Eye Cream

Neocutis LUMIÈRE Bio-Restorative Eye Cream soothes and revitalizes the eye area. This revolutionary health and beauty product helps to reduce the signs of aging, reducing fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.

In a recent interview with My Skin Affair, actress Mischa Barton said that Neocutis LUMIÈRE Bio-Restorative Eye Cream is part of her daily skin care routine: “It’s super light so you can wear it throughout the day.”

I received this product to review.  Knowing that it was a celebrity favorite, I was eager to try it out.  After four weeks of using this product twice daily, I do see a slight improvement in fine lines and puffiness.  The product is fragrance free, smooth and light.  Neocutis LUMIÈRE Bio-Restorative Eye Cream is formulated with 30% more PSP, the most complete protein blend of Human Growth Factors, Cytokines and Interleukins available. This blend improves the appearance of stressed skin in the eye area.

Visit the Neocutis website to learn more about this company’s products and how to pick up your own eye cream.

Interview With Designer Rachel Bommer Of Rach B Jewelry

Interview With Designer Rachel Bommer Of Rach B Jewelry

When browsing through the Rach B Jewelry collection, it is evident that designer Rachel Bommer has an eye for design and passion for amazing jewelry.  From chic statement necklaces to eye-catching earrings, Rach B Jewelry has it all.

There is something magical about talking to someone who loves what they do and finds beauty all around them.  I am happy to share my interview with the classy and talented Rach B with you.

What got you started as a jewelry designer?

I am a fashion design graduate. I was always attracted to making/ designing things as a child. As much as I loved designing clothes, I enjoyed jewelry making more because of the instant gratification aspect. I started making simple jewelry at the age of four. In grade school, I would sell my creations in the lunchroom. By high school, I was selling jewelry in local salons and in my high school’s office. Although it makes me cringe now, I still can’t believe what a little entrepreneur I was at a young age.

If you had to define Rach B Jewelry in one sentence, what would it be?

Rach B Jewelry fuses timeless, high-end looks that can be worn with a white tank top or little black dress–at accessible prices.

What do you enjoy most about designing jewelry?

I enjoy that the second I get a vision or idea, I am able to make it right away. Very gratifying.

Where do you find inspiration when creating new pieces?

I would go crazy if I didn’t set limits for each collection I design. I first figure out which handful of stones I am using.  From there, the stones and chains inspire me just by playing around with ideas and proportions.

Which Rach B item do you find yourself wearing again and again?

I wear my multi-stone earrings (seen here) ALL the time with a tank top or little black dress.  For the past 3 1/2 years, and currently on the 7th collection, I have designed the same multi-stone earrings, simply incorporating the new color or stone for the new season. They are my best sellers, too.  Irresistible, I’d say.

Could you offer a few tips on wearing jewelry?

Don’t wear it all at once! If you wear large earrings, go for a bracelet. Wearing a big necklace ?  Go with studs.  Keep it at one statement piece that complements your outfit best.

You can buy Rachel B’s jewelry online.

Top 10 Gowns At The 2010 Oscars

The highly anticipated 82nd Annual Academy Awards offered fabulous red carpet fashion. Metallics, embellishments and beautiful silhouettes filled the red carpet.  Timeless gowns kept Old Hollywood alive.  There was lots of amazing hair and makeup, too.  There is nothing quite like the combination of Oscars magic and the red carpet.

Perhaps the best celebrity style comment of the evening came from Gabourey Sidibe when she gushed excitedly from the red carpet, “If fashion was porn, this dress is the money shot.”  We love a girl who can appreciate fashion.  And, fashion there was.

Top 10 Gowns At The 2010 Oscars:

  • Meryl Streep in a white draped gown by Project Runway alum Chris March
  • Jennifer Lopez in an Armani Prive iridescent pink silk organza gown
  • Sarah Jessica Parker in a pale yellow silk Chanel gown
  • Diane Kruger in an embroidered chiffon and lace Chanel gown
  • Kate Winslet in a Atelier Yves Saint Laurent metallic gown
  • Penelope Cruz in a Donna Karan bordeaux draped gown

Melvita Argan Oil

Melvita Argan Oil

Argan Oil is a valuable beauty secret of the Berber women.  This rich oil comes from the Argan tree kernel, which has been harvested  from the Moroccan forest for centuries due to its amazing benefits.

I received a bottle of Argan Oil from Melvita to review.  This organic certified, fair trade oil provides wonderful beauty benefits.  Rubbed into the skin, it offers an instant layer of moisture.  I especially like using it on my cuticles. Argan Oil can be used as a moisturizer, for massages and even to smooth damaged hair.  This bottle is a great value at $24.00 for 1.7 fl oz, especially considering the fact that I’ve paid more than double for oils with similar properties.

Visit the Melvita website to pick up some natural, organic health and beauty products.

2010 Military Style

Spring’s hot military trend calls for a little basic training. This year, the style is more soft and refined. It’s all about mixing it up, incorporating layers and touches of  femininity.

You won’t make it through this fashion boot camp by wearing the same style from head to toe.  Instead, mix military pieces with feminine elements like ruffles, sequins, bows, bib necklaces, flirty skirts and heels.  Earn that style stripe by adding a few military-inspired pieces to your wardrobe this season.
